Dave's private park, called Eirever, is 41 years into a 200-year project to development a magnificent private parkland. Eirever is 'reverie' spelled backwards, meaning 'dream'. Dave's dream has been to transform ten acres of bare and steep cattle paddocks, which he bought in 1979, into an interwoven tapestry of terraced garden themes and schemes with an abundance of colour and some startling artworks. He has planted over 10,000 trees and shrubs and created 2.5 kms of pathways. Much of the park has been set aside as a Pets' Garden of Remembrance, and over 1600 pets have been laid to rest in separate graves dotted all over the 10 acres.
